THE SUNBEAM 29.1 - COMPACT - COMFORTABLE - TRAILERABLE.
SYNTHESIS OF FORM AND SECURITY..
The SUNBEAM 29.1 is also logical in its' balance of security and comfort.
Beginning with the high quality of construction including high level active and
passive security, the hull of the SUNBEAM 29.1 is manufactured in solid laminate
using hand lay up technique. Torsional strength is assured by the use of
internal shells and reinforcement in all necessary areas. The hull thickness
increases continuously from the upper freeboard area towards the keel sole. This
achieves safety reserves that are way above the normal requirements. The
standard of fitting out for active safety is notably higher in the SUNBEAM 29.1
than is normally expected in this size of yacht. From antiskid deck surfaces to
rounded corners in the interior, a safe double cable deck railing, a divided
pulpit, a pushpit with ladder, a practical reefing system, a sunken travellers,
and hand railings in the right places. The stern spoiler is provided with
special storage spaces for fenders and lines and the cockpit has a large storage
locker and provision for the installation of an auto pilot. Teak surfaces in the
cockpit and the spoiler are standard as are self tailing winches, a battened
mainsail with lazy jacks, the lighting system and three strong deck hatches. The
SUNBEAM 29.1 is conceived as a modern wing keel yacht.
